Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars Collaborate with ninemillion.org to Help Refugee Youth
Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars Band are joining with ninemillion.org to raise awareness and funds on behalf of the organization to help young refugees around the world. Ninemillion.org is an innovative global campaign led by the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR). With founding partners Nike and Microsoft / MSN, they are determined to bring education and sports programs to many of the world’s estimated nine million refugee youth across the globe, who do not have the opportunity to learn and play. Reuben Koroma, the band’s leader, has worked directly with traumatized children while living in the camps, teaching them basic schooling, music, theater and sports during his years as a refugee.
